This Privacy Policy describes how OKWAVE (hereafter referred to as “we” or “us”) collects, uses and discloses information and what choices you have with respect to the information, abiding by laws regarding to the personal information as well as to protect it in a proper manner.
1. In the case where we directly collect personal information, the purpose of use and the acquisition method will be specified in advance, and we collect personal information with the consent of the person concerned. However, if the purpose of use is obvious from the situation at the time of collection, we may abbreviate the specification of the purpose of use.
2. In terms of handling personal information, we will continually take reasonable safety measures, as well as corrective and preventative measures in technical and organizational aspects, on account of safety management in preventing destruction, leakage, loss, falsification, etc.
3. We do not disclose or provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the consent of the person concerned, unless it is required by law.
4. For complaints and inquiries regarding the handling of personal information, we will establish a help desk to respond in good faith. In addition, if we receive any request for disclosure, correction, suspension of use, etc. of personal information based on the personal information protection law, then we will respond within a reasonable period and time and range, as long as we can verify the concerned person’s identity.

(1) Definition of Personal Information
In this policy, personal information refers to information about a living individual which falls under any of the following items:
① Information which can identify a specific individual with or without collating other information. This information contains a name, date of birth, or other descriptions etc. This means all matters (excluding individual identification code) stated, recorded or expressed using voice, movement or other methods in a document, drawing or electromagnetic record. Electromagnet record means a record kept in an electronic, magnetic or other form which cannot be recognized through the human senses.

We may collect your name, username, password, postal code, address, email address, gender, nationality, date of birth, occupation, hobbies etc. that are related to individual information, client number, cookies, IP address, contractor/device unique ID and usage environment. We may also collect logs on browsing information. They are collectively referred to as personal information.

(6) Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
We will not disclose your personal information to third parties except as specified below.
① When you consent in advance for disclosure of personal information, etc.
② When there is an urgent need, e.g. Eminent danger for human life, physically or assets, etc.
③ When needed improvement of public health or promoting healthy development of children, and also if it is difficult to obtain your consent.
④ If a formal inquiry based on law is received from a court, police, or other public organization.

We may outsource all or part of the handling of the obtained personal information, within the necessary scope to achieve the purpose of use.
In which case, we will conclude the necessary contracts regarding the handing of personal information, etc. with the outsourcer.
We will also perform necessary supervision to the outsourcer.

In this case, Advertising agencies will be using Cookies information. These Cookies do not contain any information that can identify or distinguish the users. They are used only for the purpose of advertising delivery, and not for any other purpose.

(9) Your Rights Regarding Personal Information
① If processing of personal information etc. are based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent regarding your personal information at any time.
② You have the right to request access to your own personal information.
③ You have the right to request correction of personal information held by us.
④ You have the right to request deletion of your personal information.
⑤ You have the right to make an objection to our processing of your personal information, etc., for the sake of legitimate interests.
⑥ You have the right to request restrictions on the processing of your personal information.
⑦ You have the right to request for the transfer of your personal information to yourself or to a third party.
⑧ There is no cost to exercise the above rights.
⑨ In addition to the above rights, you have the right to file a complaint with the Regulatory authorities at any time. However, we ask you to contact us in advance for the opportunity to respond to your complaint before you contact the Regulatory authorities.
(10) Our Response to you Exercising Your Rights
We respect your rights described in the preceding paragraphs and we will respond to your request within a reasonable period and range only when it can be confirmed that the request is from you. Please note that if your request clearly lack foundation or be excessive, especially in case of repetitive requests, we may charge you a reasonable fee or may refuse your request.
(11) Deletion of Personal Information
We do not store collected personal information beyond the limit necessary for the purpose of collection. In addition, customers may request us to delete their personal information from the Inquiry Form at any time, and in the event that personal information is no longer necessary for the purpose of collection or processing, we will promptly delete such personal information.
6. About Anonymously Processed Information
We will take necessary and appropriate safety management measures for the Anonymously processed information, etc., such as preventing leakage, loss or damage.

7. Excluded from Application
This policy will not be applicable if, your Personal information is required to be entered or automatically acquired the website of third parties linked within advertisements or posts on our Individuals services.
8. Changes to the Privacy Policy
(1) We may change this policy without the prior consent of the users. Any changes to this policy will be notified on our website.
(2) The revised privacy policy shall take effect from the date posted by us, and if you use our services after policy is changed, it is assumed that you have agreed to the policy changes.
